Update: 11th June 2020

Over recent weeks Gledhill has received a consistent demand for hot water cylinders, with operations manufacturing key fast moving popular SKU’s to allow us to continue to supply to you, our valued customers.

As you can imagine, our usual next-day lead times will be slightly extended in the short term for those products not already in the regional depots.  To ensure we do not disappoint in this transitional phase, we ask that you contact the Gledhill Internal Sales team when placing your order, to check on stock availability and expected delivery date.

Update: 21st April 2020

Following our announcement on 26th March that Gledhill were ceasing production as part of the UK-wide lockdown to fight COVID-19, we are pleased to provide a positive update.

Following Government guidance on social distancing we took the decision to close our factories, but maintain a very limited workforce in our regional distribution depots, providing supply of essential replacement cylinders in emergency situations.  Throughout the past 4-weeks Gledhill has received a consistent demand for hot water cylinders, which has meant the stock held in the regional depots has declined.  In order to re-build those stocks and provide a continued service for our customers, we intend to start operations in Blackpool with limited production towards the end of this week.  Initial volumes will be low, as we ensure safe operations and adhere to social distancing guidelines, but it’s our intention to produce the most popular SKU’s to keep all customers trading through this difficult period.

As you can imagine, our usual next-day lead times will be slightly extended for those products not already in the regional depots, which could see delivery extended to 72-hours.  To ensure we do not disappoint in this transitional phase, we ask that you contact the Gledhill Sales Office when placing your order, to check on stock availability and expected delivery date.  As a reminder, the main contact numbers are:

Update: 26th March 2020

These are unprecedented times, with daily announcements that are affecting the way we live our lives, and the way we do business. Our priority now, as it always has been, is the safety of our customers and employees.

Following the government’s announcement of nationwide restrictions, we have taken the decision to streamline operations, and to focus on delivering essential services only during this time. Other parts of our business will be closed until further notice.

Gledhill will be supplying any products that have already been ordered until the end of March. A limited emergency service will continue to operate subject to government recommendations.

We know that people’s lives are being disrupted and the situation is changing quickly – we are doing everything we possibly can to keep people with heating and hot water.

We ask customers to consider the urgency of their calls to our team, so that we can prioritise those who are most in need.

We understand that Coronavirus is causing uncertainty. Our priority now, as it always has been, is the safety of our customers and employees.

We are closely monitoring demand and are prioritising those who are most in need, and we have issued guidance to all employees in line with the latest government advice.
